The Lynx Collection currently includes a guest house with 6 suites in Hout Bay and a wine farm with tasting room, restaurant, and a guest house with 17 suites and deluxe double rooms in Franschhoek. These two destinations allow our guest to combine a fantastic beach holiday not far from Cape Town as well as a stay in one of South Africa’s most popular wine regions.
The Lynx Collection stands for innovation, diversity, and sustainability. It combines the modern with the traditional.
The well-being of our guests is our highest priority. We want to exceed the satisfaction of our guests through enthusiasm, appreciation, and personal commitment.
At Lynx Collection we have two teams that are separate but still working together. Firstly, the Lynx Wine Team, which includes our cellar master Pierre and his local farm workers, who take care of all aspects of wine production. From the vine in the vineyard to the wine in the bottle.
On the other hand, our hospitality team, which takes care of the guests in the restaurant, the tasting room and in both guest houses to ensure that they have an unforgettable stay.
Our goal is to produce outstanding wines for the guest and to give the guest a unique experience with us.
For that goal both teams must work closely together, as this is the only way we can meet our expectations for a smooth process and give our guests an unforgettable experience.
“You need courage to break new ground, and you need passion, to make the plan succeed.”
We want to respect
People and nature,Preserve traditions
And still make history.
Sustainability and environmental protection are important to us because we want to leave our children a beautiful world. As owner, we paid attention to energy-saving lighting and water-saving shower heads. We mainly generate our electricity from a photovoltaic system and the water we use is treated and reused. We have set up beehives on our premises to contribute directly to species conservation and we water our lawns and flowers efficiently. Our employees separate and recycle rubbish, dispose the leftovers professionally, and our kitchen team ensures that food is sourced regionally and seasonally. And what can you do as a guest to protect the environment? We would be happy if you only use water and electricity when and only as much as absolutely necessary. They would help protect the environment if they canceled the room cleaning once and also used the towels longer. Whoever is with us on the farm will immediately notice that we are one big family, regardless of our origin, colour or religion. It is important to us that we all pull together for a common and good future. Be part of it and help.Together for a better world.
